What are the dimensions of a urinal in a restroom partition?

I. Common Size Ranges for Urinal Dividers
In public restroom partitions, the term “urinal divider” typically refers to two types:

Urinal partitions (dividers between two urinals)

Dividers above or to the side of urinals (for splash protection and privacy)

  1. Urinal Partition (Intermediate Panel)
    Width: Typically 300mm – 450mm
Common standard widths are 400mm or 450mm, depending on the urinal width and installation spacing.

Height: Typically 600mm – 900mm
Common heights are 600mm, 750mm, and 800mm, designed to block sightlines and prevent splashing.

Thickness: Anti-bacterial panels are commonly available in 12mm or 18mm. The 12mm thickness is sufficient to meet strength requirements, while the 18mm option offers a more substantial feel and better sound insulation.

  1. Urinal side panels / end panels
    Width: 200mm – 350mm, typically 300mm

Height: Similar to partition panels, but taller; typically 800mm – 1000mm

Some projects use floor-to-ceiling side panels, with heights reaching 1200mm or even extending to the top of the main partition, to enhance privacy.

  1. Upper Panel / Top Panel
In some high-end settings or locations such as airports and hospitals, a continuous upper panel is often installed above the urinals:

Height: Approximately 300mm – 400mm

Length: Arranged continuously according to the number of urinals

Purpose: Splash protection, aesthetic appeal, and to facilitate the installation of sensors or decorative trim
