What fire-resistant materials can be used for public toilet partitions?

With the increasing number of high-rise buildings, people’s fire safety awareness is growing stronger. So what fire-resistant materials are suitable for public toilet partitions? It is well known that stainless steel bathroom partitions are fire-resistant, but stainless steel materials are prone to rust. Compact laminate board materials are therefore highly suitable for bathroom partitions.

HPL panels (High-Pressure Laminate) demonstrate exceptional fire-resistant properties, which is one of the key reasons for their widespread adoption in public spaces, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and transport infrastructure – areas where stringent fire safety requirements are paramount. HPL Board is essentially a flame-retardant or quasi-non-combustible material possessing an exceptionally high fire rating. It does not actively promote combustion and, in the event of a fire, effectively blocks the spread of flames, slows the progression of the blaze, and reduces the generation of smoke and toxic gases. The panels exhibit favourable thermal insulation properties, effectively mitigating rapid temperature increases on the rear surface.

During combustion testing, they demonstrate a low heat release rate, thereby minimising their contribution to the fire’s intensity per unit time.
